HISTORY
Irina Marinescu is a Romanian established brand.Born, raised and based in Romania, Irina Marinescu started her career as a designer in her early years of study at the National University of Fine Arts in Bucharest, creating a namesake label. Even from the first beginning, Irina’s aim was to create goods, focusing most on details and achieving perfection into that matter.Therefore, she keeps on producing in house handmade goods, and working with artisans, rather than machines.

Belvedere is about the freedom of seeing things differently than before, it’s about a new perspective that can make "it" all become quiet and clear, is about doing exactly as you feel and not as expected by others, about the depth of things and about the need of turning them into toys and instruments that you can play with joy.

Emotional Transference strongly stands for a phenomenon characterized by unconscious redirection of feelings from one person to another, and from past to present and maybe future. It is implied that creating new pieces of clothing, we invest them with more than utility, we also put in them our enthusiasm. Therefore Irina creates dreams and small textile poems to be worn and loved, because she transfers in them our desire to glow and to flow through life with a little bit more grace and serenity.The phenomenon is being described from the designer's introspective point of view, from the inside out, translating the feelings and reactions into textures and lines that speak about the way Irina has perceived all these women she had chosen to portray, women that have crossed her path, with whom she bounded in many different ways.
