ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2019 // PAUSE!
"PAUSE!" is a multi-layered fashion project that addresses time and space from several perspectives, imagining the future as seen from the past and reimagining the past through the perspective of the future.
As it can be seen from the title, the project proposes an interruption from everything that is happening in all sectors of today's society. A pause that aims to the analysis of what was and what it will be, trying to find a middle way between the two temporal extremes.
"PAUSE!" is a clothing project that consists of a blouse, an oversized skirt made of a pleated tulle and a head accessory made of white lace, pearls and white feathers. The whole ensemble is white to accentuate the idea of assumed and controlled discontinuity.
2018 // CHARACTERS
CHARACTERS puts in discussion the existence of reality and that human beings have the tendency to create their own world in which both them and those around them become characters. Because the true identity of a person can't be known, that person becomes a character seen through a personal filter, whose life is made up of stories told in different ways, in different worlds. Therefore, we can say that after all, everybody is a character.
The collection talks about this vision of a world made up of characters, of an inexistent reality, of the fact that everything around us is what we want it to be. The existence of these worlds has as a main factor the light. Perceived as being white, the light is represented actually by all the colors of the spectrum, being as diverse as the characters of that world. In conclusion, the theme is represented by my reality. A world made up of my characters, transmitted through a monochromatic code.
