ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2019 // Office Building on Eșarfei street
The building which has a total floor area of around 1400 square meters was conceived with a split-level spatiality, conception which was determined by the partial basement, imposed by the presence of groundwater. The parking place is in the semi-basement, thus not affecting the ground, occupying a reduced surface. This fact, along with the desire to obtain a total floor flexibility for the offices and showroom spaces, has lead to the decision of creating a structure without columns. In order to materialize this idea, all the working spaces are suspended on the central concrete core which contains the staircase, the elevator and the restrooms.
2019 // Housing Building on Louis Blanc Street
The housing building situated on Louis Blanc street, a well defined street in terms of building heights, with historical buildings dating from the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, is subordinated to the site. Through its height as well as through the alternation between mass and openings, it was tried an organic integration into the rhythm of the street. The building contains an apartment on each floor with a floor area of around 200 square meters. The facades are ventilated and are boarded with white fiber cement panels, a resistant material which ages well.
