HISTORY
RB Design is a contemporary womenswear and menswear label from the young designer Raluca Baciu. With a BA in Fashion Design from the National University of Arts Bucharest and a previous Fine Arts Education.
SPECIFIC
Raluca combines art with wearability and her inspiration is street culture. Thus, elements that focus on everyday life or social issues are combined and remixed to create garments designed to be worn.
ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2019 // DOWNTOWNERS
“DOWNTOWNERS'' is a collection that begins with urban culture, influenced by homeless people and survival on the streets. The overview is characterized by people from different backgrounds, subcultures and their standard of living. Every outfit is an overlay of garments, a dynamic composition that comes to life, culminating with a 90’s feeling and a strong urban note. The color palette draws inspiration from the city streets, the nuances render the reflection of traffic lights and the street signs. The main idea of my project explores an increasingly globalized street culture, where influences around the world are shared and remixed. Homeless people, the way they manifest and develop, are the focal points of this collection.
