Achim Rietze, Strategy Lead at the ZOO - Google’s creative think tank for brands and agencies - will serve as Effie jury president in 2019. Achim has a track record of numerous effectiveness award wins and is a regular jury member at the Euro Effie, GWA Effie and AME at New York Festivals.

Achim started his career in 2001 at the global agency network Young & Rubicam, before joining Jung von Matt in 2006 - according to the Big One the "most-awarded creative agency across all media and the world“ in 2007. Later he founded his own strategy unit as board member at LLR - a Jung von Matt spin-off, that directly won 9 Lions at Cannes in their first year and became "Newcomer Agency of the Year 2009" in Germany. In 2015 he arrived at Google.
The 43-year old creative strategist is engaged at the Account Planning Group Germany for 10+ years and represented the interests of the planning community as board member in 2013. He is also a member of the global industry association for Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality.

The Romanian Effie Awards 2019 Jury will gather more than 100 high level marketing & communication specialists, with a full range of expertise: CEOs & Marketing Directors, Strategic Planners, Creative Directors & high level management from advertising, digital & media agencies, researchers, representatives of the academic environment & marketing and strategy consultants.
The Effie 2019 Judging Process will be held in two judging phases: first round on 15th and 16th of May for establishing the Effie 2019 Finalists and a second one on 6th of June, to determine the Effie 2019 Winners. The 2019 Effie Finalists Gala will take place on 28th of May and the 2019 Effie Awarding Gala on 10th of June.
Founded in 1968, EFFIE is an international festival presented annually by the New York American Marketing Association in recognition of the year’s most effective advertising campaigns – campaigns that have delivered superior results in meeting or exceeding the objectives they were designed to achieve. Romanian EFFIE Awards was launched in 2004 by International Advertising Association (IAA Romania) in partnership with UAPR – The Romanian Advertising Association.
