TILT by Richard Scott is a meta-exhibition that investigates the shapes and materials that form and contour our existence, pointing out several factual and abstract dichotomies, such as empty-full, liquid-solid, and illustrating how reflection and perspective generate our daily realities and illusions.
Row 1: An abstract form or found object is represented as being partially filled with a fluid. In each case this filling ignores any implied materiality of the object forcing an abstract reading and concentration on the picture plane. Building on the ambiguity established in Row 1, Row 2 shows a series of 3 horizontally arranged pieces treats the picture plane as content with the frame. This original tilted objects are now seen as content within a frame, which is itself content. The ambiguity and framing feedback of rows 1 & 2 are now set to look at phenomena in the city in row 3. Set in the window, these works look out at the city in ways that echo the partial (half full / half empty) filling of objects of Row 1, suggesting a partial understanding and eternal incompleteness of the city itself.

GALATECA is a project created by artists, designers, architects, curators and communication specialists set out to develop exhibitions of applied arts, new multimedia art, a gallery shop that is a total novelty for Bucharest art scene and multidisciplinary cultural experiences, where one could get in touch with contemporary art and amazing personalities. A developing project, Galateca Gallery set out to showcase national and international design projects and original contemporary art, aiming to create valuable exhibitions of applied and multimedia art.
