ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2017 // Pink Floyd’s Animals

The project is represented by an art book, made entirely by the artist, which illustrates in a unique and original manner the music of Pink Floyd’s album Animals. Inspired by the lyrics but also by George Orwell’s book “Animal Farm”, she created a drawing that unfolds like a frieze which combines various human characters, hidden behind animals that illustrate them. The leitmotif is the man with the head in a box that appears in various circumstances throughout the story, and the summary of this symbol is hidden in the envelope of this book, which is made so to open up. The book was printed in an edition of twenty copies. What makes this book unique is the format, as an accordion book, but with the upward rectangle principle, each page surpasses the previous one, so that successive overlapping compiles a single image.
