The 3 collateral events proposed are bound to reactivate and bring together the community of young designers who participated in the previous editions of Visual Playground.
The first event is Visual Playground – Then & Now. Artworks created during the previous illustration workshops will be exhibited together with a new series of artworks created for this very event. Every designer’s professional evolution (technique, execution, style) will be visible by comparing the artworks created for the first theme they received – Fears, and the current one – Progress.

The second event is Behance Portfolio Reviews Session. Design professionals are invited to evaluate Behance portfolios and give feedback.

The third event is Impromptu Comic Book Workshop. The selected participants will illustrate a comic book written by George Roșu. Each contributor will receive a blank panel (with a caption, or a speech bubble) to illustrate it, and, eventually, the panels following the storyline will be exhibited within the main exhibition.

Visual Playground is an alternative school for graphic design and illustration, initiated in 2010. It is an annual program consisting in two weeks of intensive trainings and workshops covering a wide variety of design, illustration and branding topics, assisted by well-known professionals.
The project’s objective is raising a united community of experienced designers, by creating a space for the development and for the exchange of knowledge (methods and insights) between professionals and young aspirants.
