SPECIFIC
MBQ provides premium lifestyle products with a story and design that stands out in any context, using a blend of centuries old techniques combined with contemporary design.
ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2018 // MBQ Home Decor 18 - Contrasts
The action of revaluing traditional crafts requires not only a reshape of old products or a reuse of ancient skills, but also a rethinking of a new approach. The craft itself needs to evolve, and with it, the craftsmen themselves.
In this new collection, Mesteshukar ButiQ has challenged traditional craftsmen to work together with modern craftsmen and, through experimentation and design, create a new craft. One part is new and brings the efficiency of machines and technology, and the other part is ancient and gives products their soul and uniqueness.
This contrast of techniques and materials takes form primarily in the imagination of product designer Radu Abraham, is brought to life in the MBQ workshops and is to be put in front of an audience, for the first time, at this year's Romania Design Week.
MBQ Home Decor 18 - Contrasts of Materials, Contrasts of Crafts. The Contrasts of Life.
