ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2018 // C contemporary social place
C-Lounge is a contemporary social place in Bucharest, located in an old industrial hall of the former computer factory in Pipera. Given the layout of the building and the client’s brief, they chose an industrial theme, complying with the architectural vocabulary of the area.
Nature was in full process of reclaiming the space when we visited the first time. The concept was based on this image of the old industrial hall flooded with vegetation. The interior space is divided into two major zones, the bar area and the open space/table area which can work independently. The gla tzed portion of the hall is towards the exit to theerrace to facilitate an easier access to the exterior, where the food court can be found during summer. The bar stands in the center of this area and is transparent to better filter the image of the courtyard.
The design and execution were done within 3 months, with the help and dedication of a number of passionate people.
