The mission of the social enterprise Cosânzeana is to keep old customs and traditions alive and relevant in the life of the modern man.
The Atelier is placed in the countryside where you can still find somebody to sew, spin wool and where carollers go from house to house spreading positive wishes to their neighbours on holidays. In the city, there are fewer and fewer caroller, especially young ones.
Laura Leonte, the founder of Cosânzeana, believes that this affects the community in a negative way, it widens the gap between people.
Carolling is a social binder, an opportunity to teach our children to wish well to others and receive well from them. Urban Romania needs meeting pretexts and positive communication. Keeping the carolling alive could be an easy and very fun way to make this happen.
Laura wanted to redesign a few of the magical carolling objects in such a manner that they become irresistible for children and convince them to use the and their parents to talk about tradition.
To make sure this happened she teamed up with designer Alex Nimurad and craftman Grig Mitrea.
