ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2019 // Geometry, Rain
A minimalist side-board of large scale with surprising detailing. The primitive beauty of weathered oak is framed in black and sustained by a contrasting structure with an intricate geometry. The designer chose to expose the unfinished oak slab, its rough cuts and rain marks are only tamed by gentle waxing for a smooth tactile experience. Dozens of black wooden quadrilaterals and their intricate, geometrical play build up the sustaining structure and compliment the fluid image of the body. The unconventional push to open system is an invitation to tactile exploration. Theme: exposing fleeting images from the workshop. In this case the unfinished oak slab and the graphic play of wood scraps.
