ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2019 // Lada chair
A wooden box is an object with many uses. It is a ready-made object that anybody can turn it into whatever he needs. In this situation, the designer turned it into a chair in a simple and unexpected way.
2017 // DISTORTED
Distorted is a bookshelf design. It started from a typical wood grid structure that we wanted to do lighter. Instead of plain wood, interlocking strips did that and also enabled a stepped structure that went even further. When filled with books it gets Distorted.
2016 // Nordic Chair
The idea of this chair started like a critique of the ‘Scandinavian design’ phenomena: predictable design with simple lines, sometimes monotone, sometimes bold, natural textures but maybe too neutral, and with Ikea in mind, where you can assembly by yourself every product. In replica, this chair uses cheap materials that make an economical yet robust structure with rude joints and instead of being predictable it prefers ambiguity.
