HISTORY
Andreea Matei studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Colegiul Economic Rm. Vâlcea and is as of now a fresh graduate of the Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design, Fashion department, from the National University of Arts, Bucharest.

The title of the collection is inspired by the phrases and lyrics of the song “GIRL I WANT 2 EAT U”, by the band Die Antwoord, and by the phrase “Haters gonna hate”. The latter phrase doesn’t necessarily have a literal meaning, but it symbolizes the interpretation of some human character traits that can be difficult to keep under control.
The concept embraces the idea of one losing the “good” human values and it voices the incapacity of people to keep their greed or pride in check. The designer delivered a ludic attitude by the usage of humorous aesthetics (colors of high intensity, combination of different materials), and also by ridiculing some human character traits.
