SPECIFIC
Her creations are artistic manifestations. They imply layers, distructive messages, confrontations. She hasn’t considered to create a brand, but Ana Alexe succeeded in imprinting her personality like a tattoo.
ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2019 // AUTOPSY
„I’ve found the poet, with his heart’s gifts, having him analyze my suprarealist drive and sensations of my everyday in a setting, neither optimist nor pesimist, but urging a third mind state, where contraries ceases to exist. I’ve put in my small iconostasis poppies, blood, hair, sky pieces, solitary cries, eros, sea, sun, habitual an existensial loneliness, all in the mourned sound of a black harmonica on unexplained dark. When I think of them in my prayers, the misfortunes run away and the small, misunderstood eternity, that gives and takes it all, becomes by defeat knowledge and maybe freedom. Through every yanking and extortion a storm passes; through every root, flower and fruit of suffering, a watter is slipping by; the anger and sadness have woven in me canvases, sisters living life like life.
The mouth of Elytis speaks with four houndred roses. I have sewn.”
2016 // SPRING WINTER // The Peacock Car
“The peacock car” is a space of illusion defined by the intersection between the character of woman as home, mother, domestic fire (body/emotion/mind) and the fictional character of woman as goddess, fauna, harpy, nymphy (imagination/breath/dream/contemplation). The two of them and their echos are fighting, are overlaping and are dissolving each other in a continuous and contradictory dialogue about the phantoms of bourgeois femininity.

2015//SS15
The journey towards a special place that holds these waterfalls of movement, of the whole body, meant to forget the geometrical postures, self-sufficient though for everyday's life, becomes some kind of giant accurate fresco, reproachful and full of retroactive feelings.
