The building is “anchored” among the landmarks of the area, which influences the shape of the house by eroding the primary volume. This volume takes the shape and proportions of a traditional barn with a puritan dark wooden board envelope. The building itself behaves like a barn, it is positioned perpendicular to the length of the plot thus dividing it in two parts: the yard and the garden.
