ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES

2019 // UNDR_crazy
The background of musical and urban events that the central location in Constanta has, is the theme for a potential manifesto. We are dominated by mental flashbacks of some residual urban spaces, “ghost” spaces or spaces dismantled of initial activities, spaces that frequently welcomes us as a diagnosis of nowadays postindustrial and post-communist society. This reality shocks us by not being able to react with an economic treatment or cure. Maybe if the treatment came through a cultural discourse, the pressure of failure would turn into the management of success. What if a cultural “occupy” of these wounds represents the cure?

2018 // Funky Resto Bar
"We are the slaves of our own visual, auditive or sensitive experiences. We live an internal universe which determines us in the cultural perception. In Bucharest, we are characterized by the extraverted, vocal, filmic spirit. We like to have it all. To be exuberant, to live for the moment. The reward of instant pleasure fills our soul.

The opulence of the surrounding environment close to us fulfils us and gives us a confident, friendly background. A space where we find our inner selves in must accept our way of being. Welcome to ”Funky” land restobar!"

2017 // Occupy Spaces
The design theme they have received had the aspiration to design certain office spaces that should offer a perspective to the classical concept of office spaces. The location of the project is the 11th floor of Green Court office building ensemble situated in the newly defined northern Bucharest area of real estate office developments.

It is the story of transiting an atypical world, non-corporate, which makes you experience different sensations both as somebody working there and also as a visitor. The intimate sensation of a world „in between worlds“ or of a hybrid organism which makes you go through it and „use“ it, is the first impact of the viewer. The permanent or temporary user doesn’t need to know if the sensation of relaxation and contemplation or of action and activation comes from lighting, materials or eventually from the spatial relationship. He needs to feel that the environment he founds himself in is one that challenges him professionally and determines him to return with positive energies.

2016 // FlOREASCA RESIDENCES
This apartments house lays in one of the representative areas of Bucharest, in a place where “the built” is mostly residential and where the two lakes in the neighbourhood lead  towards a possible romantic atmosphere. The importance of the location makes it necessary to approach the proposal from the perspective of a possible “landmark” as an urban object.

2015 // ENTOURAGE
Entourage means firstly socializing but also what we want to become and leave behind us into a big marriage with the future. We must take socializing on different layers as a positive game, first with ourselves. It is a game that helps us not being subordinated to some dogmas, it is a game that should make us expect to learn continuously... Also that we are in a continuous workout in this construction site of our souls. The construction site as a simple environment, instantly accesible, existing in non-finished, recycled state is what is enough to have and use in this performance of mutual meeting. It is a stage in which the purity of materials – wood, concrete, metal, glass – exposes to meeting in the same time with our entourage and our sublimation...
The rough materials brought into dialogue by the rythm and the anti-rythm are a constant theme of this place’s ambient. The bar is a first counter where since you get close you dock to the proposed socializing game. The three huge graphic masques as an enlighting wall across the entrance composed from diverse faces, culturally ambiguous, show the light of the great déjà vu that we join. The filter of an imposing “E” at the entrance reminds us that we pass the portal to a new state of mind.
