HISTORY
The publication is coordinated by Sebastian-vlad Popa, lecturer at the Faculty of Letters, UB. The editors are young philologists, artists, writers, vivid minds, while some contributors belong to different fields, rather technical or science (architecture, maths, anthropology, music), as the magazine's goal is to be open to a general audience "waiting" for something else than the usual literary magazines. The graphical concept is signed by Mihai Păcurar, theatre set designer and visual artist.
ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2019 // INFINITEZIMAL
Initiated in 2013, Infinitezimal is an arts publication, built upon the concept of ”poetic journalism” - a topic that ensures the discrete coherence of every issue. Having switched from the large dimensions of a "classical" newspaper to the more elegant format of an album-book, Infinitezimal carries on the project of a syncretic expression of text and image, of editorial content and typography. It is also an interdisciplinary and eclectic journal, with a sense of non-belonging to the rhetoric of identifications of any kind: of generation, of cultural formation, of current politics and ideologies.
The latest 3 issues (2018) create together a poetic trilogy, conceived under the sign of cultural intersections and collisions:
11 #ARDOR - sensuality and lust/ardor (see the unknown texts by De Sade and Cantemir published here),
12 #DRANG - romanticism, nostalgia and drive/urge, and
13 #WE_THE_STRANGERS is dedicated to Hungarian culture in its highest and most creative expression.
