The 2nd edition of SLB advances a series of questions to stimulate the participants to explore a peculiar meaning of silence.
Raluca Anghel investigates silence exploring the organic world while Iris Arsu considers it as a necessary element in the retrospective process of constructing the quotidian experience. The psychological dimension of silence is present in the publications of Anca Cioarec, Inga Ciumac, Oana Tudoran. The silence is identified in the absence of speaking (Simona Constantin) and playfully approached in the process of photographic recording of a series of common objects seen in a different fashion through the camera’s lens (Irina Costescu). Antonio Lionetti focuses on ambient sounds, while Veronica Negrilă’ book seeks the in-between moments. Andrei Şendrea builds narratives starting from objects found by chance.
