HISTORY
Nicu Duta aka Kitra was born and raised in Targoviste, a small and quiet city near Bucharest. In 2012, he graduated from University of Art Bucharest with an master degree in visual arts. Since then, he works as a multi-disciplinary artist/director. Nicu Duta works across media in illustration, toy design, street art and graphic design.

2017 // Moody
Moody is a limited edition wooden character that changes shape as he changes his state. Rearrange him anyway you feel to create a sculpture that comes straight out of Kitra’s street art interventions.

2017 // Just a Band
Just a band is just a project that makes art accessible to everyone through a collection of paper bands with designs from Romanian artists. It’s a one-time wear accessory and at the same time a strip of art.

2016 // 2015 overview
2015 resulted in a series of collaborative works between Kitra and  multiple artists from different areas of design: Atelier Mustata, Bumbag, Ubikubi- Flying Saucers, Berlin Boombox, Rug by Gur. What they all have in commun is Kitra’s signature patterns.
