ADRIAN BOŢAN
GRAPHIC DESIGN

Adrian started by studying architecture and design, but ended up betraying its ideals of social transformation for the ephemeral and superficiality of advertising. At least that’s what he thought at the beginning of his journey.
Surprisingly, in advertising he found the same social mission that attracted him towards architecture, and that proved a strong incentive to carry on.

Adrian created campaigns that entered pop-culture, working either for a local challenger brand of chocolate bars (American Rom, Romanians are smart) or for established global brands like Coca-Cola and Vodafone (Ghita The Shepherd, Sunday Grannies). His team has won all the awards that matter, including the first Cannes Lions Grand Prix and Titanium for an agency in Central Eastern Europe.

Adrian now works out of London, where he is trying to export the challenger spirit and Romanian resourcefulness. In the past 5 years he has coordinated global brands like Mastercard, Nestle, Coca-Cola, and he was the creative lead for McCann in Europe. More recently, McCann has been increasingly recognized as one of the most creative networks in Europe.
