2019 // Pennington Hotel
Hôtel Pennington (scenario by Ced Asna, Ed. Makaka, published din France) – is a 96 page graphic novel, for children between 7 and 12 years old. The story tells the adventures of Charlotte, a girl living in a haunted mansion.
The drawings were made in a traditional manner, with colored watercolors and pencils - then scanned and processed on a computer. The images were designed to allow for a smoother integration of text - digitally added along with the speech bubbles.
2015 // DOLKY-N TREI STRAIE / NÝČKO V BANÁTU/ STORIES FROM BANAT
Ileana Surducan has graduated from The University of Art and Design Cluj (M.A.) in 2011, and works as a freelancer in the fields of illustration, comics and ceramics.

She enjoys telling stories that mingle the everyday life with a fantasy world, and believes that art is a game in which a touch of humor is indispensable - after all, people need the courage to not take themselves too seriously.

2015 // DOLKY-N TREI STRAIE / NÝČKO V BANÁTU/ STORIES FROM BANAT
This graphic novel is part of the Bucharest Czech Ambassy’s project “Czech-Romanian relations through comics”, published by Jumătatea Plină and sponsored by CEZ Romania.
The book presents six villages from Romania, where the majority of the people are Czech, with a history dating from 1830, through the journey of Ileana (a Romanian illustrator) and Petra (a Czech, settled in Romania, who plays the role of the guide). Together, they visit the people and the places, and try to share their story with the reader.
The Old Woman’s Daughter And The Old Man’s Daughter - Ion Creangă
These illustrations of a classic romanian story are made using an special technique. The characters are portrayed by articulated ceramic ball jointed dolls, especially created for this project, and dressed up with clothes inspired from traditional Romanian costumes. The background for each illustration is also three dimentional and handcrafted. Each scene is photographied and digitally processed. The book is part of Pasărea Măiastră Collections, published by Vellant.
