BEGINNINGS
For us it all begun with studying at the Department of Product Design from University “Ion Mincu”, where we were lucky to have very good professors which made us to have an appetite for design and not only. I have chosen this area precisely as it is multidisciplinary, combines several factors (social, functional, technical, ergonomic, esthetical etc.) really contributing to improvement of our daily life.
CAREER
We have established our shop within one year after we finished the faculty, however, we started our activity from university, beginning by participating in design contests in all the country and abroad, where we won awards or we were among the firsts, or we gained experienced by our mere participation. These contests made possible for us to participate in exhibits into the country and abroad. Exhibits abroad helped us very much to evaluate our work as compared to other designers and to grow up, it meant for us a new stage in our creation.
BRAND/BUSINESS
Our shop’s philosophy is as the motto we chose sounds: "think complex and design simple". We think the simplest solutions are, at the same time, the best – we think that simplicity is nevertheless maximum optimization and efficiency solutions.
TODAY
We have not been yet able to determine our client’s profile as we had different clients; they bought our objects depending on different criteria. It brings us nothing but joy demonstrating that they generally like and want what we create, we are not exclusivist or discriminatory.
TOMORROW
For the future we want to continue to produce our objects, however, we equally want to collaborate with companies that need to develop new design products. We want for our shop to be as those from abroad and to be able to cope with international collaborations.
DESIGN MANIFESTO / POST RDW IMPRESSIONS
Participating in other design weeks, we were glad to see that we can have organized here, in our country such an event. For us, RDW meant exposure, acknowledgement and confirmation of the fact that the product designer profession can also be recognized in Romania.
