Oana Coarfa was born in 1978 in Ploiesti, Romania. She studied at UAUIM Bucharest and TU Delft, The Netherlands. In 2004, she graduated architecture at UAUIM Bucharest.
She was granted with awards in interior design for retail at the World Space Creators Award Japan 2010 and in object design at the competion for Delta Studio in 2012.
Since 2007, she is partner architect in the Republic of Architects office, working as an architect and designer. She experiments with a large scope of practices (building, product, space, graphic design, drawing, concept...).
In 2013, she started c a b i n e t, design oriented practice. The objects created in c a b i n e t are condensed shapes that promote design for practice
