HISTORY
ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCE
2015 // Point_Line_Circle series
If the basic geometrical elements are composing two-dimensional figures on a lifeless medium, when worn, a third dimension is being revealed. When put into relation with the human body they underline different aspects of its dynamics, like the skeleton and the muscular system or of the feminist and fertility symbols like the coeliac area.
FashionMachine is the project of Cătălina Ioniță and Monica Sebestyen born from each’s personal interest in design and lifestyle. Even if they have similar background they came together due to the complementarity of their approach.
SPECIFIC
FashionMachine jewelries are conceived at the intersection of two attitudes: between minimalism and the impulse to innovate. They use simple elementary forms, clear and classic which by repetition, reconsidered into compositions and molded into surprising new materials, reveal the quest of the creative minds.
