With a background in architecture, product design gradually became one Ruxi Sacalis her main interests as a result of studying traditional architecture, materials and culture.
Her work is trying to explore the relation between local identity and contemporary design and to rediscover the links with the traditional crafts in order to create simple objects that serve as a background for our everyday life.
She holds an Msc. in Historic Conservation from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom and a Degree in Architecture from “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture, Bucharest, Romania.
