HISTORY
Alexandra-Iuliana Iancu studied at the Highschool of Fine Arts “Nicolae Tonitza”, in Bucharest, between 2008 and 2015. After that, she frequented the fashion design class at the Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design, from the National University of Arts, in Bucharest, earning a bachelor degree.

The title of the collection, “Walking Pictures”, represents the strong relationship between painting and fashion design. The collection consists of clothes which are inspired by the field of art. Pablo Picasso’s paintings were the sources of inspiration for this collection. The clothes feature characters and objects applique, who appear in Picasso’s cubist and surrealist pictures.
The method of working represents intarsia, applique and quilting techniques. Also, clothes’ patterns follow the up-to-date trends and contain cubism shapes like round sleeves and collars mixed with sharp lapels.
More than that, the collection is an inducement for contemporary society to wear clothes with artistic value instead of ready-to-wear clothes.
